PushPullStretch

Let Your Body Move

Yoga- and Pilates-based movement for strength, focus, and calm.

Taught with structure, emotional intelligence, and zero pressure to perform.

What Is PushPullStretch?

PushPullStretch is the method I’ve developed, a grounded, progression-led approach to building strength, flexibility, balance, and body awareness.

It blends yoga, Pilates, and simple movement patterns into sessions that meet people where they are, no fancy kit, no performance mindset, and no need to already “be flexible.”

Each class is 45 minutes. Sessions are rooted in structure and stillness, not chaos or comparison. Whether your child needs an outlet after school or you’re an adult craving rest and reconnection, this is movement that makes space for how you feel.

PushPullStretch reflects how the body naturally moves: with effort and ease, structure and softness. It’s also how I teach, combining the precision of Pilates, the breath and grounding of yoga, and the freedom to move without having to get it “right.”

The method is adaptable across ages, but the foundation stays the same:

  • Build confidence through movement
  • Create strength and calm in the same space
  • Support students physically and emotionally, without overwhelm

Some sessions are slower and more restorative. Others are more dynamic and strength-focused. Either way, the goal is the same: connection, clarity, and capability.

Who It’s For

I currently teach:

  • Children who benefit from structured movement to support focus, strength, coordination, and confidence
  • Teens who want calm, connection, and strength without competitive pressure
  • Adults who are rebuilding trust in their body, after injury, stress, or simply too much tension and stillness

This is for people who want to move better and feel stronger, not to perform for anyone else.

Class Style

Classes are:

  • Mat-based and taught in person
  • Rooted in yoga and Pilates principles
  • Calm, non-performative, and progression-based
  • Designed to support both physical and emotional regulation

Whether you’re here to get moving again or help your child build strength and focus, PushPullStretch offers a clear path, with space to move at your own pace.

Class Types

Children’s Classes (Ages 5–11)

After-school sessions that mix yoga, Pilates, balance games, and core movement skills in a way that’s fun, focused, and grounded. Kids build body awareness, confidence, and calm, without needing to compete or be “the best.”

Classes are structured around themes of curiosity, resilience, and emotional regulation.

Tuesdays (West Bridgford) and Wednesdays (Colwick), 5:00-5:45pm

Tween & Early Teen Classes (Ages 10–13)

A transition-friendly space for older children and younger teens who’ve outgrown younger classes but aren’t ready for full adult sessions. These classes blend strength work, mobility, and calming breath-based movement, with zero performance pressure and plenty of reassurance.

Great for tweens navigating growth spurts, school stress, or just needing a place to move and breathe without being judged.

Tuesdays (West Bridgford), 6:00-6:45pm

Restore & Reset (Teens & Adults)

A slower-paced session for anyone who needs less noise and more space to breathe. We focus on mobility, relaxation, breathwork, and stillness, using gentle yoga and Pilates-based movements to help the nervous system soften.

Perfect if you’re recovering from burnout, managing stress, or just want to move without being shouted at to “go harder.”
Great for teens, carers, educators, and anyone whose body needs a reset.

Wednesdays (Colwick), 6:00-6:45pm

About Me

I started out as an athlete, so discipline, movement, and physical training have shaped my life from the beginning.

Later, I became a coach, working with children across sports and movement disciplines, where structure, motivation, and progression were everything.

Eventually, I trained in both yoga and Pilates, bringing together athletic training with body awareness and emotional depth. I now teach in a way that blends all of it, helping students build calm, confident strength at any age.

PushPullStretch is the method that holds it all. It reflects what I value most: clarity, consistency, and the kind of strength that doesn’t need to be loud.

FAQ

Can I pay per session?

No, only the first session is free. After that, payment is monthly or quarterly to hold your child’s or your place.

What happens if we miss a class?

There are no refunds or makeup sessions. Payment secures the spot whether it’s attended or not.

Can I stay during the class?

You’re welcome to stay for the first session. After that, most children settle better when parents wait outside.

Is this term-time only?

The main class runs year-round unless I announce a break. Nursery-based classes follow school terms.

What should we bring?

A yoga mat, comfortable clothes, and water. No shoes needed, we move barefoot or in grip socks.

Can my teen or tween join a younger class?

If your child is 10-13, they’re likely best suited to the tween class. If they’re borderline (e.g. 11-12), just message me and I’ll advise.

Do you offer adult sessions?

Yes, the Wednesday Restore & Reset class is open to both teens and adults looking for calm, breath-led movement.

Will these help with strength or flexibility?

Definitely. Each class supports core strength, flexibility, balance, and body awareness, without rushing or pressure.
